The way to learning something:

You gotta do some things for the most effective learning and these things mean using all your senses.  You muse READ, LISTEN, WATCH, DO, WRITE, AND TEACH.  So our dear Allyson says.  I've spent a lot of years doing the first four and some of the last two.  And, I truly believe that to teach you must be able to verbalize for others to understand.  And, to verbilize means you MUST have a thorough understanding of what you are doing (teaching).  Plus, it brings you into the lives of many others in a real and meaningful way.  Actually an intimate connection with others.

So, I am making a commitment to do some more teaching.  And, I'm going to be a damn good teacher.  I've taken from many, and I know what a good teacher is.  And, I have sensibility to others and know how not to destroy.

What a day at Sylvan Sigler's home with her Iris and Roses.

Bobbie Badger took me and we saw the most gorgeous Iris ever.  I cam home with a Drama Queen that I will cherish forever.

The Show in Grapevine, Texas, at the Clock Tower Building

What a Day it was. . . .The Grapevine Painting Sale at Palace Theater

I was incredibly fatiqued at the sale after setting up in the efficient space called the Palace Theater Art Center.  Thanks to Bruce Rosensteil for the efficiency.  But, managed to get through the day with seeing friends and Son Hix and Amy and Braxton (grandson).  Really had fun selling 22 studies and quick draws.  Had one family that walked out with 8 paintings.  (thanks. Brennans)  Even bartered with my lawnman, R Vinson, and his lovely wife, for yard work for a couple of framed paintings.  Here is one of my bartered paintings:

Tomorrow is the Day. Best SALE of the year

Been working all day long on pricing and packing and choosing and perusing.  Don't miss this sale at the Palace Theater tomorrow, Sat.
